CySEC CPD Requirements for Certified Professionals
Understand the annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) obligations for CySEC certificate holders and how to maintain your certification in good standing.

Professionals registered in the CySEC certification registers must complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) every year in order to maintain their certification.

CPD Requirements for Professionals Holding Multiple Certifications
Some professionals are registered in more than one CySEC certification register.
In these cases, the CPD hours must cover the requirements of each certification held.
Basic + AML Certificate Holders
Professionals registered in both the Basic Certification register and the AML Compliance Officer register must complete:

Professionals registered in both the Advanced Certification register and the AML Compliance Officer register must complete:
CySEC Certification Renewal Deadline
CySEC certifications must be renewed annually.
Professionals must complete their CPD training and submit their renewal declaration by the end of February each year.
Failure to meet the CPD requirements may result in the non-renewal of the certification.
Annual Renewal Fee
CySEC charges an annual renewal fee of €80 per certification. The renewal process typically requires:
Special Rule for Financial Innovation Training
According to CySEC Circular C421, courses covering financial innovation topics, such as distributed ledger technology (DLT),may count toward CPD requirements.
However:
Courses covering financial innovation issues may cover no more than 50% of the total CPD hours required for a certified person.
The remaining CPD hours must relate directly to the core regulatory and supervisory framework applicable to the certification held.
